VALENTINE CHRONICLES

The lyrics of Millie Jackson’s song   … “Love is a dangerous game winners and losers, pleasure and pain”   has been going through my mind these past days .Which brings to my mind various Valentine day experiences.

I’m imagining cupid getting into his super turbo charged mode to cope with all the activities. Really must there be so much fuss? Can we not share love everyday of the year?

Toping my list of valentine’s escapades would be a guy who beat  his wife and almost broke her neck last valentine. Her offense ? She discovered his secret love nest by accident. She was in a neighborhood   not too far from hers when a “caring neighboring” informed her she just sighted her husband in that area and described the apartment to her.

Since she was close by she decided to stop over. On getting there she met her hubby in a compromised situation with a young girl from their neighborhood .

The young lady started pleading and begging for her forgiveness as the wife slapped her repeatedly. The girl ran out of the apartment .Conclusion; The man comes home to bash the wife for ruining his valentine!!!

A young boy brought the same valentine card and gift for 3 different girls in his secondary school. Conclusion they found out, tore the cards and threw them at him. The tale of killing 3 birds with one stone gone sour.

My visit to a multinational company in Victoria Island on Valentine’s day left me quite amused. Apparently a young lady had received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and gift which was displayed conspicuously in the office. This set her friends into jeopardy as everyone was coming to the  reception to check if their treasures had arrived and could be displayed.

The ladies that did not expect any gift sulked around while expectant ones were restless. The atmosphere was charged with mixed emotions and lots of red. Every lady wanted to show off her loving her boo can be and how much he was willing to spend!!!!!

Hhhhmmm a lot of people run shifts on Valentine’s day, what stress!!!!

Valentine day should be a day of celebration of love ;to spouse, friends,  grandparents, colleagues etc.

This valentine I’m  eager to get a hit escapade that  will  be added to my chronicles .

Have a great 2019 valentine day’s celebration. Give ,recieve and share love but as you celebrate remember to love responsibly .!!!
